What is ATIC?
The Advanced Technical Intelligence Center for Human Capital Development (ATIC) is a nonprofit corporation that was established in 2006 to generate the national intellectual capital needed to respond to the advanced technologies that are currently under development. ATIC's mission is to develop the advanced technical intelligence workforce of the future by providing training and education to all.
ATIC is a major outreach effort designed to secure Wright-Patterson AFB as the Nation's Center of Excellence for Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), including Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI). The Center will help meet the needs of an intelligence-related workforce by generating a substantial number of highly technical, high-value jobs for government, commercial and academic partners in the Dayton Region.
The ATIC curriculum includes partnerships with:
- Clark State Community College with an Associate of Science in Advanced Technical Intelligence and a Certificate in Advanced Technical Intelligence
- Wright State University with a Certificate in Remote Sensing
- Sinclair Community College will be coming on board with as Associate in Advanced Technical Intelligence starting in the Spring of 2009
The ATIC curriculum will also include short courses and a MASINT/GEOINT/AGI laboratory to support the integration and testing of sensor data standards. Future enhancements to ATIC may include a simulated MASINT/GEOINT data operations center with links to actual operational data streams from intelligence sensors.
