Adjunct Instructor - Technical Writing for the Intelligence Community
Who Should Apply: All applicants must be US citizens and hold at least a Secret government security clearance.
Position Summary: Serves as an instructor in the discipline of Technical Writing for the Intelligence Community. The incumbent will deliver professional instruction in resident classrooms and eventually in distant learning and computer assisted learning environments. Courses are presented at the ATIC facility located in Beavercreek, OH and eventually via virtual classrooms (e-learning). The instructor will conduct instruction, guide student activities, evaluate student performance, and may be asked to develop curriculum, including computer- or web-based training. Instructor must maintain governmental security clearance at the minimum of the Secret level, Top Secret/SCI preferred.
Qualifications: Applicants will be assessed against specific position-related assessment factors, which are directly related to the position being filled and are essential for successful job performance.
Mandatory position-related assessment factors:
- Masters and/or Doctorate in a field relating to intelligence
- Minimum of three years experience writing technical briefs, White Papers, and other government related documentation
- Experience teaching adults at military or civilian training/education institutions
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications highly desired but not mandatory:
- Experience as an intelligence analyst or other intelligence-related experience with the US government, military, or as a support contractor
- Experience in course development, needs assessment, and student evaluation
